Description

The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Engineering program is to provide distinctive infrastructure and environment for environmental science and engineering education that is synergistically supportive to active learning, creative thinking, developing professional skills and self-development such that the graduates would be qualified for being leaders equipped with potential-skills and capabilities to provide intelligent solutions for standing and emerging professional challenges faced by the local societies & communities and the international communities in the environmental science and engineering areas.

Program Educational Objectives
  1. To prepare graduates who are technically competent and socially responsible to successfully tackle the environmental science and engineering challenges.
  2. To prepare graduates who emerge as the leading environmental science and engineering professionals, both locally and internationally.
  3. To prepare graduates who show commitment to professional and ethical norms, prioritizing public health and safety, environmental protection, and sustainability.
Student Outcomes
  • An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
  • An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  • An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
  • An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
  • An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
  • An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
