The programs of the College of Engineering & Physics are designed to develop intellectually curious and socially conscious minds that can create knowledge, carry out interdisciplinary research, and provide transformative solutions for the betterment of society. A sound knowledge of engineering and related disciplines is required so that the graduate can work effectively with other engineers, scientists, and technicians in fulfilling challenging assignments. Further, emphasis is placed on relevant general education to make college graduates aware of society’s concerns in addition to technical issues, such as safety, aesthetics, economics, and the cost of energy and science in their decision-making process.
