This is achieved by offering an education that is based on a strong engineering core, complemented by studies in business, systems, and management which contributes to the national economy. The Master in Engineering Management program bridges the gap between academia, industry, and technology by providing students with the engineering management, leadership, and technical expertise skills needed to advance their careers.

In addition, it provides a golden opportunity to produce applied research that serves both the industry and academics. This is evident by the number of publications (since 2009) that addressed many industrial contexts. The reason for this is that the program is attracting the interest of many engineers employed by reputable companies. The students usually address a real-life industrial problem in their Master of Engineering report. The prospected EM graduates also harness knowledge and skills (that students acquired from the program) which will leverage the engineering practices in the Industry. The program enables students to develop skills that effectively contribute to achieving the objectives of their organizations.
